Ubuntu Cinnamon 20.10 Testing Week is Underway

Hello everyone,

It’s time to leave our Heron behind back at focal-because now the only direction ahead is forwards!

The second (and maybe final) Ubuntu Testing Week is now underway for 20.10 Groovy Gorilla. There isn’t much changes but:

We have switched to Arc/Numix themes (Arc for GTK and Numix for Icons)

We now have clipman installed as our Clipboard Manager-always useful to have.

And that’s pretty much it. Only other talk is we may remove Ubuntu Cinnamon Spices (as they aren’t meant to be packaged, just installed via Cinnamon DE) so expect a removal.

All Ubuntu Flavors/Products are participating in this testing week and we are proud to as well. Make sure to join the Ubuntu Testers Telegram: https://t.me/UbuntuTesters

To help, download an ISO (ours, or go to iso.qa.ubuntu.com and download one), and follow the tasks to test out our products/isos.

Instructions for Bug Reporting can be found there. Don’t forget to record your results with your Ubuntu One account!

Anyways, that’s pretty much it, go download!

Hi. Thank you for this great edition of Ubuntu.
there are two problems I noticed so far after installing and playing around:
1- I use two keyboard layouts. my base keyboard is Turkish which able me to write in English as well. The second layout I use is Persian. After first setting when I restarted, the applet(which holds the country flags) in right of panel disappeared and I couldn’t apply my setting of changing layouts with ctrl+shift.
2- downloading new applets gives an error. I’m not able to download redshift and weather applets for the panel.
Again thank you for this great flavour of Ubuntu. Seriously this is much better than linux mint.

    Greetings,
I am new to the linux world and have been trying many distros and for each one, I have only enjoyed using them with Cinnamon. Its just awesome! As a newbie, curious, why does the version say unstable? Runs amazing, just curios. Thanks!

Unstable because you’re bound to experience bugs.
