Ubuntu Cinnamon Remix 20.04.2, our second point release of the 20.04 LTS “Focal Fossa” series has been released!
There hasn’t been much stress and changes as my main focus has been moving forward to flavor status, and with a year behind us and a new installer (check Ubuntu discourse for more) coming soon, I’m very eager to look at our future.
The main fixes to note is that everything is the same, cinnamon version 4.4.8 and the rest of the cinnamon 4.4x bundle. Here are the main patches that were fixed:
- Cinnamon Keyboard Shortcuts don’t update until relogin
- Don’t let apps delay Cinnamon’s shutdown
- Black borders on dual-monitors, muffin segfault when turning off primary/secondary monitor
Most work has been dedicated towards our upcoming Hirsute release and also making Groovy patches. There is also a few more patches expected to come soon (better late than never!)
It’s going to be a hard journey but rest assured we will keep focal support going.
